A Serving Suggestion |
What happens when you combine plums with bay leaves, coriander, cider vinegar, sugar, orange zest, salt, and ancho chiles? If you ask our resident intern, Hadyn Coxen, the answer is plumb jam with as much savory as sweet. Barberry Hill Farm's CSA members will get a jar to taste for themselves at this week's pickup, to mark the last of the season.
A variation of this recipe is in the cook book,
A Boat, a Whale & a Walrus: Menus and Stories by
Renee Erickson.
