Braiding Onions

Hanging on the Wall

Fresh onions can make a meal.  I saute them or use them raw and would not make many meals without them.  It is the most common herb in the kitchen here in America and nutritious too.

A great way to store onions, or garlic, is to braid them and hang within easy reach  in your kitchen.  This time-honored technique not only keeps onions fresher longer, but it also saves time and space and is lovely to look at.

An Age-Old Skill

We will be offering braided onions shortly, both at the various farmers markets and our farm stand.

They store best in a cool, dry place.
