I went to the shearing and got to meet Kelly, Kingsley and some of the other CSA families.
There really are ducks, chickens, turkeys, cows, sheep and children all over the place.
The shearing was interesting. I did not know it is done just once a year, and though the ewe did not want to get started, she behaved fairly well during the shearing I saw.
I know the farm is about to get really busy, with all the CSAs, the farm stand and the farmers markets, so it was great to get a chance to see the farm before all that. It was also gratifying to learn how friendly Kelly and Kingsley are. I cannot imagine anyone being any more welcoming.
